dburks@ou.edu BioI'm a 53yr old mother of a beautiful daughter who inspires me on a daily basis. She too is on the Atkins diet. I've been married for 35 yrs this June to the most wonderful man in the world who has stood by me thru it all. In Jan of 2002, I had major surgery for a benign brain tumor the size of a baseball. I came thru it great....but it was a long hard road to recovery. I feel like I've been given a second chance in life and I want to make the most of it. This includes being healthy and not overweight...so here I am. We have two cats...Momma Kitty and Simba, and a silly little dog named Jerry Garcia.( i co-own him with my daughter)I work at a university in HR and manage a Temp Service within the university.
